UEFA Europa League

The UEFA Europa League is an annual club football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. It is the second-tier tournament, below the UEFA Champions League, and features teams that either qualify through their domestic leagues or have been eliminated from the Champions League. The tournament was established in 1971, originally known as the UEFA Cup, and was rebranded to its current name in 2009. The Europa League culminates in a final match where the champion is awarded the UEFA Europa League Trophy and qualifies for the following season’s UEFA Champions League, as well as other European competitions. The tournament is known for its competitive matches and provides clubs from various European countries an opportunity to participate at a continental level.
