Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are a professional basketball team based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They are a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Established in 1995, the Raptors are known for their distinctive red and black team colors, as well as their emblem featuring a dinosaur, which pays homage to their original branding from the 1990s. The team gained significant recognition when they won their first NBA Championship in 2019, becoming the first Canadian team to achieve this feat. The Raptors play their home games at Scotiabank Arena, and they have a passionate fan base, often referred to as “Raptors Nation.” The team’s name, “Raptors,” was chosen through a naming contest, reflecting a period of popular dinosaur-themed media, particularly the film “Jurassic Park.”
