Tennis

Tennis is a racket sport played between two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The game is played on a rectangular court divided by a net, with players using a stringed racket to hit a ball over the net into the opposing side of the court. The objective is to score points by landing the ball within the opponent’s court in such a way that they are unable to return it. Tennis can be played on various surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard courts. The sport is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of Tennis. It is popular worldwide and features major tournaments including the Grand Slam events: the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. Tennis has a rich history and is known for its competitive and recreational play, as well as its emphasis on physical fitness, agility, and strategic thinking.
