Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of eleven players each, on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. The game is primarily played with the feet, although players can use any part of their body except for their arms and hands; only the goalkeeper is allowed to use their hands within a designated area known as the penalty area. The sport has various forms and is known by different names in different regions, such as soccer in the United States and Canada, while in most other parts of the world, it is simply referred to as football. It is governed by specific rules known as the Laws of the Game, which are established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Football is one of the most popular sports globally, with a vast following and numerous professional leagues and international competitions, including the FIFA World Cup. The sport promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
